"Prayers / Triangles" gets off to a mellow beginning with drum beats and atmospheric sound effects, but it doesn't take long until the song erupts. Chino's vocals sound as great as ever as he shifts from a soft delivery to full-throated screams. The song boils with intensity, but isn't overly aggressive.
Deftones' new album, Gore, is expected to be released April 8, 2016.
