Official audio has been released of Jason Isbell's 2015 Newport Folk Festival set. Listen above, via NPR.
Isbell played a combination of songs from his previous albums Southeastern and Something More Than Free, including "The Life You Chose," "Speed Trap Town," and "Cover Me Up." You can hear an upbeat, joyful Isbell playing the Newport Folk Fest for the second time in his blossoming career.
In addition to a successful Newport set, the 36-year-old Grammy winner participated in a surreal experience when he was allowed, for the first time in 50 years, to play Bob Dylan's historic Fender Stratocaster that Dylan played during his first live, electric performance.
