Veteran guitarist Robben Ford has shared a new song titled "High Heels and Throwing Things," featuring special guest Warren Haynes. The song is from Ford's upcoming album, Into the Sun. Listen above via SoundCloud.
"High Heels and Throwing Things" is a mid-tempo tune that incorporates elements of funk and electrified blues. Robben's vocals are spaced out, giving enough room for some killer blues riffs. A strong bass line flows underneath, and you never know where a guitar lick might pop up.
Into the Sun will feature other guests such as Keb' Mo', Robert Randolph, ZZ Ward, Sonny Landreth, and Tyler Bryant. The album will be released on March 31st via Mascot Label Group. You can pre-order it on Amazon (Vinyl, CD). Below, you can watch a YouTube trailer for the album.
