Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle album was released on November 23, 1993. For the 20th anniversary, the Doggfather has released this DOPE mixtape where he plays the original records that had been sampled on the album by Dr. Dre and his team that included Daz Dillinger, Chris "The Glove" Taylor, and Emanuel Dean. Snoop hosts, sings along, tells stories, and keeps things interesting between songs. It's also available as a free download through the player above.

This is some good party music for your weekend. 54 minutes of funky soul and hip-hop music. It's already got over 25k plays in 12 hours. It's really fun to hear DJ Snoopadelic break down the original records and show how he transformed the funk classics into a fresh new sound. Through the whole tape, Snoop pays respect to the original artists and gives insight to how the tracks came together for his Doggystyle album. "Pure Funk" is what this music is all about.
