Sonic Highways, the Foo Fighters' eagerly anticipated HBO series, premiered on Friday, October 17th. The show ended with a brand new lyric video for "Something From Nothing," the first single from the band's upcoming album.
The clip was shot at Electrical Audio, Steve Albini's Chicago studio, which also happens to be where they recorded the track. Each song in the series will pay tribute to the city where they record, and "Something From Nothing" is an excellent homage to Chi-Town. The lyrics -- several of which were inspired by a chat with Buddy Guy -- pop up on the screen around the band as they perform the track, and Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen makes a guest appearance. The video's intensity peaks with the song and comes to a climactic close. Watch the video above.
